For Chris, his memories with the Columbia music scene are endless. In high school, he snuck into the Blue Note to see the Violent Femmes with his friends. He met his now wife at Shakespeare’s before a concert. Chris thinks Blues in the Schools is essential for kids to get to make musical memories of their own.
Chris grew up in Columbia and graduated from Hickman High School in 1984. He received a degree in Business from Indiana University in 1988 and his law degree from the University of Missouri in 1991. Chris has been a practicing attorney since 1992, concentrating on serious personal injury, wrongful death, and criminal defense.
While he did his fair share of drumming in the high school band, he spends most of his time now enjoying live music, watching his wife watercolor, and hanging out with his twin sons.
Chris has been on the board since the creation of The Roots N Blues Foundation in January 2013.
